Coming soon - A Vacation in Sikkim....!

I promised to write and have been forgetting conveniently ever since. Many apologies again!

But, now I have a reason to write - Me, Radhika - my wife and Saurabh - our friend ("We" or "Us") have planned a vacation in Sikkim (Eastern Himalayas) on March 3rd, 2010 and will surely have a lot to share. We are planning to explore Gangtok, Changu Lake, Nathula Pass (China border) Lachung, Yumthang and Pelling. This is quite a challenging itinerary, but with all the 'spirit to vacation' that We possess, We will surely see this through.

I wish, We could include Bhutan to our itinerary but unfortunately, time is of essence and We will have to head back home. Will wait for another time to visit Bhutan. But, who know what destiny has in it's platter for Us and We might just walk that extra mile to visit at least a few places in Bhutan which are close to Indian border.

But, what is getting us to Sikkim?

Wedding of my dearest friend, Mainak Das ("Chotudada") on March 2nd, 2010 in Kolkata. So, the idea to explore Sikkim is just an extension of our visit to Chotudadas wedding. It will be interesting to attend a Bengali wedding. Looking forward for ulu ulu ulu ulu ulu......

Join the club Chotudada...!

We will be back on the eve of March 11, 2010, after which I am looking to spend rest of my holidays at home.

Also, look out for photographs from the region on my blog.

Cheers,
Nachi

Back in memory lane!

Hi,

It's a Thursday and am feeling too stressed and drained....Last week's through and fro drives to Mumbai (twice) seem to have caught up on me. I need to hold myself for a day more and then arrives a weekend. Wow, the feeling of a weekend on horizon is so relieving.

Oh, there is one more reason i must be feeling tired...Late night and not enough sleep last weekend. However, was a rocking Saturday. It was an old times sake catch up coz all four buddies in crime (in the past) met up for drinks and food (Viki, Naz, Radhi and me)...It was an excellant evening...We chatted about "Good old days"....I feel so emotional as i write this...Walk across old Mumbai-Pune highway from Khandala to Lonavala (Dreamland Resort) in middle of the night, pitch drunk, singing songs and one on us leaving the chain and straying diagonal coz that person slept off while walking. Surprised, dont be - there are many sleeping incidences i know off about this person...So young, so adventurous, so thrilling and now so emotional....This happened almost 10-12 years back and its fresh as if it was yesterday...We will keep talking of this and you guys will keep reading it and may get bored but trust me this incidence is close to all 4 of us...This was just one incidence and we have loads like these...Such was time when we all were perusing career in sports and each at pinnacle of career as sportsman...

Anyways, the girls went off to sleep and then came the boys talk (Viks n me).....If you not good at guessing what we were talking, it's your bad luck...

....Thanks Viks!!! As always, U Rock!

Now we arriving at another weekend. But, will be in Pune..Afterall my good buddy Abhiraaj is joining my club on Saturday - "Married Men's Club" or "People with lost freedom club" or "club of the subdued" ect...This is on lighter side, but let me tell you marriage is wonderfull and it gets better like wine as years pass.... Sunday is not sure but it should be sober, relaxed and to rejuvinate energy for next week...

As always, will get back soon...

Cheers & keep reading!

Meeting Raje at ND studio...!!

Hi,
I was on a 3 days break from work (total 7 days) and spent lot of time at home, last weekend untill Tuesday. Excitingly, my break which started on Mumbai Voting day (29th April) with excercising my right to vote. But, the sad part of the that day was - 'Dry Day' until voting hours....Then was my usual holiday routine, though i woke up at regular hours everyday - I think i have become a machine.

The same weekend, i visited ND Studio, Karjat with Radhika, Kaushal and Rashes. There i met my idol and real life hero Raje Shivaji in Dr. Amol Khole (A Dr. at KEM hospital) and clicked a snap with him too. Thanks to my dearest family friend, Nirmal Jani. Am not a guy who is at all excited of meeting actors but Raje in Dr. was very specaial. He looked indentical to Raje i have seen in history books. My weekend was done. I met my idol in Dr.

As promised to myself and visitors, i will post a comment, atleast once a week - So i am trying to keep up with commitment. I had challenging 3 days at work, starting this Wed.

Today again, am off to Amchi Mumbai. Will spend lot of time at home - I have started liking it so much. I will be back to Pune on Sunday eve.

So, until next time Adios and Keep Reading - Nachi

Starting to blog from this day.......

Hi,

Until today, i only heard people write blogs and a few avidly read them. I was curious, what was so much in Blogging. But, that was all i thought of Blogging.

Today, while trying to reseach for Leh trip, i came across a blog on Leh trip, by one Mr. Naren. It was realistic and very professionally written. As curiosity rose, i checked on a few more blogs. They were amazing. Each one having a niche of itself except, one common element being 'Passion'. The contents helped me start with research and reach somewhere close to the middle of my prospective trip to Leh, sometime this year, if lucky offcourse. I realised, what Mr. Naren and others wrote was real and honest and could not be found in any information published by Tour arrangers for obvious reasons.

Hence, I have decided to contribute and be a part of blogging community (Read & Write) from this day. I will try and contribute at regular intervals, if not everyday.

Please do not hesitate to chip in or counter, as and when.....

Cheers & Keep Reading!
